Naming Opportunities

 Pharmacy Hall Addition

Through this $30 million campaign, the University of Maryland will solidify its position among the nation's great schools of pharmacy. Our legacy of alumni achievements and academic prominence is significant as is the impact of our goals in this unprecedented campaign. We will succeed only if our alumni and friends invest in us with their spirit and resources. We invite you to join us in our important mission of shaping the profession of pharmacy and carrying on the tradition of excellence at Maryland's preeminent School of Pharmacy.

Everyone can impact the School’s success and can receive recognition for their generosity through the many naming opportunities associated with our campaign. Whether you are interested in honoring a loved one through a scholarship or fellowship or carrying on the family name or family pharmacy by sponsoring a laboratory, conference or class room in the Pharmacy Hall Addition, the opportunity is available to select the most meaningful and personal way to leave your mark on your School of Pharmacy.

The campaign priorities are simple and focused:

  • Increase our endowment for scholarships, fellowships, professorships to recruit and retain preeminent science, clinical, and translational researchers to sustain our current research and develop burgeoning areas such as pharmacogenomics, pharmacoeconomics and nanomedicine.
  • Invest in novel and fundamental research through the establishment of Centers of Excellence to allow faculty to pursue novel ideas and enhance important areas in the future of healthcare such as personalized medicine, bacterial resistance, counterfeit drugs and cancer.
  • Garner support that sustains and enhances lab space, equipment, and computational power which is the backbone of any research operation allowing for more clinical and translational capabilities.
  • Enhance programmatic support for outreach efforts by garnering additional resources through partnerships with state agencies, national associations and corporations.
